Langley Cosmetic Dentistry

Getting the best smile for you is an art that can be reached through various techniques such as composite fillings, porcelain crowns and veneers, bridges, teeth whitening, prosthodontics and botox. All theses techniques are offered by JVR Dental.

Composite (White) Filling

At JVR Dental we do composite fillings, which are white but mercury free. When you need to replace your metal fillings or need a cavity restored, a composite filling looks very natural and are aesthetically pleasing, but we also choose the best biocompatible materials for your dentition and smile.

Porcelain crowns and Veneers

Crowns, also known as “caps”, are coverings that fit over a tooth to strengthen and protect the remaining tooth structure. They are made of very strong, natural looking porcelain, zirconium or ceramic to blend in with your own teeth. You may need a crown if you have big old metal fillings, fractured or chipped teeth or a severely sensitive tooth. We also do crowns on root canal teeth to protect them from future fractures. Porcelain crowns and veneers can also improve your smile by changing the shape, alignment and colour of your teeth.

Teeth whitening

At JVR Dental we offer professional in office whitening in just 30 minutes as well as take home whitening kits. As we age our teeth naturally appears darker or stained due to the foods and drinks we consume. Whitening your teeth cleans the tubules of your teeth and can be one of the easiest methods to improve your smile and confidence. At JVR Dental we use the IVERI whitening system that contains potassium nitrate to decrease tooth sensitivity and xylitol to prevent dehydration of the teeth. Ask your dentist for more information and to find out if you are a candidate. We do recommend a dental cleaning before you start with the whitening.

Botox

Botox is used to relax the muscles and iron out wrinkles on the forehead and around the lips. It is a quick and safe way to get rid of unwanted wrinkles, and you will see the results within 2 weeks. The effects of Botox usually last about 3-4 months and treatment needs to be repeated.

At JVR Dental we offer Botox to reduce wrinkles on the forehead, lips and glabellar lines as well as reducing a gummy smile appearance and crows feet around the eye, just to name a few.
