What is a porcelain veneer?

Porcelain veneers are ceramic that covers the front part of your tooth. Since they’re made from porcelain, they can be shaped and stained to cover cosmetic flaws perfectly, resulting in a brilliant and flawless smile.

What are the benefits of porcelain veneers?

Porcelain veneers improve the functionality of your smile and are easy to maintain.

While veneers are more expensive than dental bonding, they are generally stronger, don’t need to be replaced as often and result in a more natural-looking smile.

What’s the porcelain veneer procedure like?

We begin the process by shaving off a sliver of enamel to make room for the veneer.

Next, we take an impression of your tooth and the surrounding teeth and gums, which will be used to fabricate your veneer. While your veneer is being fabricated (1 or 2 weeks), you’ll wear a temporary veneer in its place.

Once the permanent veneer is ready, we’ll remove the temporary one and securely bond the permanent one in place. Finally, we’ll evaluate your bite to ensure it hasn’t been changed by the placement of your veneer.
