JVR Dental offers dental implants as an alternative to bridges, partials, and dentures. Implants are an excellent replacement for your roots and teeth because they look and function like natural teeth!

Why are dental implants and why do I need them?

A dental implant is an artificial metal screw that’s inserted into your jawbone and used to hold the artificial replacement tooth in place.

What’s the dental implant procedure like?

The dental implant procedure has different stages and requires several appointments. We begin by examining your mouth and taking x-rays of your head, jaw, and teeth to find out if you’re a good candidate for the procedure.

Next, we’ll surgically place the dental implant into your jawbone beneath the gum tissue and wait about 3 months for the implant to heal and bond with the bone and gum.

Once the tissue has healed, we’ll attach a post to the implant and connect the replacement tooth to the post. Several appointments may be required to ensure a proper fit. If we’re replacing several or all of your teeth, we’ll anchor a fixed bridge to your dental implants.
