New Patients

Welcome to JVR Dental, Langley’s Premier Family Dental Care Provider

As a first-time patient, you may have questions about our practice and policies. Give us a call to speak to one our friendly receptionists, or read below to find out what to expect during your first visit!

Getting to Know You

At JVR Dental, we make it a point to get to know our patients on a personal level. Our talented, friendly staff loves welcoming new patients to the JVR family!

First visits always begin with a review of your dental and medical care history. Learning relevant details about your general and oral health will help us build a long-term oral health plan customized to your unique needs.

What Time Should I Get There?

We recommend arriving at least 20 minutes early. This will give you enough time to complete any insurance paperwork, as well fill out a Medical Questionnaire Form on our iPad detailing your dental and medical history.

What Should I Expect?

First appointments are generally 90-minute long. During this time, we will:

  • Create a new patient record detailing your dental and medical history;
  • Take X-rays to assist in evaluating your oral health;
  • Take intra-oral photos to record and gain insight into the condition of your mouth;
  • Clean your teeth to remove stains and deposits;
  • Perform an oral cancer screening; and
  • Perform a comprehensive dental exam to detect any oral health issues

Once the exam is over, we’ll discuss any questions you have, and go over your on-going treatment plan. If you’d like, we will also give you rough printed or emailed estimates for each appointment!

Insurance

We’d be happy to review your insurance plan with you to determine your coverage and treatment options. Should you have questions in advance of your appointment, please don’t hesitate to give us a call!

Please note that, due to new privacy regulations, insurance companies no longer release patient information. For this reason, patients are responsible for providing us with the correct insurance information.
