Root Canal Therapy

We offer root canal therapy in as little as one to two appointments! Remember – regular dental visits and proper at-home care after a root canal can help your tooth last as long as your other teeth.

Why is root canal therapy and why do I need it?

Your tooth may become infected due to a deep cavity or a cracked tooth. When this happens, the pulp (network of blood vessels and nerves inside the tooth) can be damaged from the infection.

Root canal therapy involves opening up and treating this infected tooth.

What happens if I don’t have the procedure?

If left untreated, the damaged pulp can cause infection and abscess that will damage the bone around the tooth and cause swelling and pain.

What’s the root canal procedure like?

Once it’s determined that you need a root canal, we’ll open up your tooth, remove the damaged pulp and then clean, shape, fill and seal the tooth. After a root canal treatment, we usually recommend crowning the tooth to give it the best possible long-term prognosis.
